Dr. Fatima Abbas Al-Maamari, a teacher at the Department of Ancient Iraqi Antiquities at the College of Archeology / University of Kufa, participated in the fourth international conference of the College of Archeology / University of Al-Qadisiyah, which was marked (Antiquities of Mesopotamia: The Originality of Achievement and the Durability of Creativity) for the period from 8-9/3/2023. (Abrig) in the light of the cuneiform texts) The study included an analysis and definition of this term and what is meant by the Sumerian terms (ab-ri-a) and the study of the phonetic variants of these two terms and the association of this term with the religious rituals of the Sumerians, as the term (Abrig) means the responsible office Regarding the selection of animals for offering religious ritual offerings in terms of the term (ab-ri-a), and he is the employee responsible for bringing these animals from care and handing them over to the (Abrig) institution, and this employee is specifically concerned with isolating animals that are not fit to be vows, such as sick animals and animals pregnant.
