Sumner entitled Marriage and Adoption in Ancient Iraq

Within the scientific activity of the Department of Ancient Iraqi Antiquities at the College of Archeology – University of Kufa, gave Dr. Nashaat ali Imran the teacher in our college, Sumner, entitled (Marriage and Adoption in Ancient Iraq) on Sunday 11/27/2022, through which he explained that the family in Mesopotamia had received great attention, especially by the legislators, most notably King Hammurabi, who was greatly concerned with personal status Including marriage and adoption, and a number of legal articles were devoted to it. He also explained the similarities between marriage rituals in the past and what it is now, with some few differences. Adoption was also known in ancient Iraq, and it was mentioned in a number of legal articles.
