The Department of Islamic Archaeology organized a scientific symposium on Najaf between Christianity and Islam.

The Department of Islamic Archaeology held a scientific seminar on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, on Najaf between Christianity and Islam. The seminar included two lectures. The first lecture was given by Professor Diaa Al-Saffar of the General Authority for Antiquities / Archaeologists of Babylon. It was about the importance of archaeological excavations in and around Najaf. The second lecture by Professor Starr Jabbar about the city of Al-Hira, its effects, its civilization and its Christian heritage, which moved after the emergence of Islam to the city of Kufa, Which moved after the emergence of Islam to the city of Kufa was a symbol of peaceful coexistence and social composition among its social components, which represented the three heavenly religions ,At the end of the seminar  certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participants.
