Within the activities of the first cultural week of the Faculty of Archeology / University of Kufa, a laboratory was opened for maintenance and restoration.

Under the auspices of the President of the University of Kufa Dr. Mohsen Al-Dhulmi and in the presence of the scientific assistant of the University of Kufa Dr. Mohsen Al-Abbadi and under the supervision of the Dean of the College Dr. Mohammad Fakhr ul-Din and in the presence of Mr. Director of the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations Dr. Haidar Al-Hamdani,Dr. Nicola, European Program Coordinator from the University of Bologna, inaugurated the maintenance and restoration laboratory within the walado program . The College Library has been equipped with a number of modern foreign books in the field of archeology that have been placed within the library of the College, in addition to  donation a  plane (Drona) and a number of modern cameras specialized in the photography of the archaeological pieces,all of that was presented by the European Union.
