Our College held a scientific symposium entitled “Human rights situation and the heavenly religions”

The Department of Islamic Archeology held a scientific symposium on Wednesday, 27/2/2019 entitled “Human Rights in the Religious and Status Religions”. Dr. Hussein Al-Saadi gave a lecture on human rights in Mesopotamia. The lecture included the definition of the concept of human rights in Mesopotamia, It is considered the cradle of civilizations which preserve the rights and duties of individuals and groups through social reforms, especially reforms (Urukagina) and through the enactment of laws that preserved human rights and dignity, the most famous of which are Ur-nammu and Hamorabi’s Law.
